Blind Adam and the Federal League, out of Chicago, is staunchly anti-fascist. Frontman Adam Gogola, who for a whilst ran a charitable firm referred to as the People’s Pizza Celebration, is not shy about expressing his views and placing people text into action. This was created clear by the “Free Palestine” shirt he wore on phase. In the course of the established, he also spoke of Nex Benedict, the 16-yr-old Oklahoma transgender pupil who died a day just after they had been brutally overwhelmed by three girls at university. Gogola urged the crowd customers to do what they can to fight transphobia, homophobia, and other vulnerable communities, as effectively as to fight back again from legal rights becoming taken absent from girls and other individuals.

In addition, it was a family members affair for Gogola, with his moms and dads in attendance, and his wife, Jessica Ever, signing up for him onstage for a music.

Gogola, his bandmates Alex Simotes and Nick Cvijovic, and Sean McGill filling on drums for Athen Erbter, drove through a potent set. It was significant with songs from the band’s most recent file, 2023’s The Fields We Know, which includes “The Sower,” Right before It Gets Better (with Jessica Ever), Meet Me at George Floyd Square, A person for the Bootlickers, and “Cold Lifeless Arms.” It is well worth noting that Pete Steinkopf of Bouncing Souls made The Fields We Know.

Members of Blind Adam and the Federal League will be continuing their typical “Pick a Side” DJ night at The Native in Chicago on March 28, 2024. The function can take spot each and every previous Thursday of the month.
